Flat, level and to spec. 100mm standard, 125mm where vehicles park, SL72 mesh in both.
Driveways
The budget-smart driveway. A charcoal oxide lifts it well past builder's grey for a few dollars a metre.
Paths and edges
Side access, clotheslines, bin pads and garden edges. Small jobs welcome, the estimator shows the minimum.
What it really costs
Most plain and coloured jobs land between $75 and $110 per m2 installed, incl. GST. Under about 20 m2 a $2,500 minimum job charge applies, and larger pours earn a better rate as fixed costs spread. Get your exact range in the estimator below.
Colour and surface options
Grey is the baseline. Through-colour oxide adds $5 to $15 per m2 and runs to the top of the range. The surface can be broom finished for grip or steel trowelled smooth.

Resealing
Sealing is optional on plain grey but worth it on coloured work, it slows surface wear and fading.

Price a plain and coloured job now
What moves the number
The range assumes a typical Perth sand pad with straight access. These are what push a job to the top of it, or past it.
- What is under the surface. Rock or deep fill turns half a day of digging into two, and never shows from the street.
- Levels and drainage. A fall to build, or water that needs somewhere to go, is prep before any concrete turns up.
- Engineering and soil reports. Some builds need an engineered slab, specified by others and priced by others.
- Council crossover permits. The verge belongs to the council, and their paperwork sets that price, not us.

Does coloured concrete fade?
Quality oxide is mixed through the whole batch, so the colour is in the slab, not painted on. The surface weathers slowly in UV, and sealing every few years keeps it closest to day one.
Broom finish or steel trowel?
Broom for anywhere feet or tyres need grip, especially slopes. Steel trowel for sheds, garages and covered areas where you want it smooth for sweeping.
How thick is the slab?
100mm for standard residential work, 125mm where cars will drive, both over compacted base with SL72 mesh. The estimator's vehicle option covers the thickening.
What's the cheapest way to do a big shed slab?
Size is your friend. Over 150 m2 our volume rate kicks in, and clear truck access keeps pump costs out of it. Get the pad sand levelled and the job gets cheaper again.
